3. What assistance is available from Cumberland Good Samaritans?

• Direct Services offers immediate temporary aid with food, clothing, utilities and rent, life-sustaining prescriptions, and travel expenses. School supplies are also available.

• Social Services offers assistance in removing the barriers that keep people from being self-sustaining, including assessment of skills and needs, scholarships, job training and job placement.

• The Emergency Center offers household goods and furnishings to those with uninsured loss from fire or other emergency displacement.

• Christmas for Kids is available for qualifying clients.

4. How can I help?

• Volunteer! We always need help with the donations to the Thrift Store and for Christmas for Kids. Volunteers can help with many other programs of Cumberland Good Samaritans. More on volunteering.
